Awas House

A second home in Alibag, spread over 3 acres and BUA of 7500 sq.ft. Based on the Indian courtyard house and principles of vaastu, the house uses material transparency to blur the division between inside and out, as well as the ground and level one. The intersection of spatial geometries, double height and a first floor curvier passage, between the courtyard and the pool, creates a number of secondary spatial types for various family get-togethers and meals.
